Land and Waters Acknowledgment

I am currently learning and reflecting on the unceded lands and waters of where I live and work. I am in the process of writing a personal land and waters acknowledgment and invite accountability, correction, and guidance as I deepen my understanding. I am not Indigenous.

I am anchored by the memory of my childhood in the prairie provinces. In particular, I have many fond memories of resting on crunchy grass and feeling enveloped by the wide open sky. I remember the roar, depth, and speed of what are known as the North and South Saskatchewan Rivers.

Home & Office Cleaning Terms

I provide residential and commercial/janitorial cleaning services tailored to meet your needs. As much as possible, I use environmentally-friendly and mindful cleaning products. This includes vinegar, water, organic essential oils, natural fibre cloths and brushes, baking soda, unscented soap, and other eco-friendly all-purpose cleaners.

All services include complimentary soft plastic collection and recycling. Please have your soft plastics separate from your trash, ready for me to collect, rinsed if necessary.

I require an in-person visit for the first clean. This gives us the chance to see each other face-to-face and for you to provide me with a guided tour of your home/office. This can either take place day-of or ahead of time.

Services are scheduled at your convenience. For residential and move-out cleans, this is usually between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Wednesdays through Sundays (subject to availability). If you are not present, please provide me with access to the property with a key or code.

Payment for move-out/move-in cleans: a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is due to secure your booking. The remainder of the fee is due upon completion of the service. I accept cash, cheque, and Interac e-Transfer. Payment via credit card is available with a 2.8% processing fee added to the total.

Payment for commercial/janitorial cleaning: for once-a-month and occasional visits, full payment is due upon completion of service. For weekly service, I will send you an invoice at the end of the month, due in full within 15 days of issue. Any invoices unpaid beyond 15 days will result in a pause of services. Any invoices unpaid beyond 30 days will incur a 4% late fee, applied monthly. I accept cash, cheque, and Interac e-Transfer, and direct deposit. Payment via credit card is available with a 2.8% processing fee added to the post-tax total.

Payment for residential cleaning continues per individual agreement. Payment for service must be made in full to confirm your next scheduled visit. Any service unpaid beyond 7 days will incur a $22 late fee. Your first late fee is waived.

In the unlikely event that I incur any damages during the cleaning process, I will let you know and am prepared to cover the necessary repair and/or replacement costs, provided that all valuables are properly secured prior to the appointment, and you have let me know of any pre-existing hazards or damage in the space I am to clean, including any household or office quirks to be aware of (such as sticky latches and things like that). In the unlikely event that I cause damage of $1000 or more, my insurer may handle it.

Fees for Services

All prices include 5% GST. My registration number is 819778390.

I provide residential cleaning at a rate of $44.00 per hour for routine upkeep (monthly or more frequent visits). A minimum of 3 hours per visit may apply.

I provide residential cleaning at a rate of $46.50 per hour for occasional and deep cleaning: move-ins, move-outs, and visits greater than 30 days apart. A minimum of 3 hours per visit may apply.

I provide janitorial maintenance cleaning services at a rate of $0.126 per square foot. A minimum fee per service visit may apply.

I provide apartment move-out/move-in cleaning at the following fixed rates:

  • 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom: $279.00
  • 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom: $325.50
  • 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom: $372.00

For all other move-out cleans in spaces such as offices or larger apartments/homes, my rate is $46.50 per hour. A minimum of 3 hours per visit may apply.

For all cleaning services, I provide soft plastic recycling at no extra cost: please have your soft plastics separate from your trash, rinsed if necessary, if you are interested in this service. Cancellation Policy

For move-out/move-in cleans, the $100 non-refundable deposit serves as a cancellation fee. There is no fee for rescheduling your appointment, please provide ample notice.

For all other cleans, I have a $50 cancellation fee for any bookings cancelled with 24 hours of our scheduled appointment. There is no fee for rescheduling your appointment. Your first cancellation fee is waived. There is no fee for cancellation due to illness in the household.

I will not show up to clean if sick or contagious, and will provide you with as much notice as possible. For everyone’s well-being, please cancel (no fee) if there is someone in the office or household who has a contagious illness.

Occasionally I go on holidays. I tend to give at least 14 – 30 days notice if my holidays will interrupt our regular cleaning schedule.

Referral Program (residential)

Referral Program: When you refer a new customer to me, have them mention your name when they book. They will receive a discount worth 1 hour’s labour for that service, and you will receive a discount worth 1 hour’s labour on your next service. The discount is transferable and valid for up to one year after the new customer’s booking. Limit one per household. Discount applies for residential cleaning only. Discount can not be combined with any other offer.

Customer Satisfaction Policy

It’s my goal to leave you feeling 100% satisfied! Sometimes I miss the mark. If so, please let me know where I went wrong. I will respond as soon as possible and will work with you to make things right. Photos and video are encouraged.

Privacy and Security

I collect only the necessary personal information to provide my services, including name, address, contact information, and payment details. Personal information is used solely for scheduling, billing, and communicating with you regarding your services. I may occasionally update you on any updates to the business (such as changes to availability and rates). I implement appropriate security measures to protect personal information, keys, and access codes from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

Your personal information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting me through the methods below (for emails, please check your spam for my reply if we’re not already contacts).
